Kelly Arnott (the race organizer) will be coming into the Running Room on Jan 18 to give a short overview of this race. Sign up before Feb 2 and get the early bird special!

Hi Dave,

If anyone is bummed out about missing out on the Chilly half marathon there is another on the exact same date (March 4th). It is hosted by Subaru Niagara Running Series. Race is in Grimsby. Enter online at www.instride.ca
I ran the Subaru Casablanca 8k and I really enjoyed it.
The Suburu running series is cool because the races are almost every month March-Nov except for August. It is a nice mix up of 5,8,10 and two half marathons. Grace

Thanks Grace! The Grimsby Half is a great race in wine country. It was the very first half marathon my wife and I ever did!

Hi All,

I wanted to wish everyone well this week in the Chilly Half. I am off to Florida for a couple of weeks and will try to send warm weather your way. I will see you all on Thurs the 16th and keep up the good work.

I wish all of you the best this week-end at the Chilly 1/2! This was my first 1/2 marathon, and it brings back great memories.

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss it myself. My calf muscle is just not holding out, and I can't run for the time being. Not sure when I'll be back pounding the pavement, but I definitely miss being out there with you.

I'm focused on recovery with Massage, spinning, and of course, a little wine now and then.

See you at class on Thursday night!

Hi Mike:

I would not mind sharing a ride with you.

B'Ann, enjoy Florida, we will miss you and will be thinking of you when we are doing Hills!

Diane, good thinking about taking time off to recover. Wine is a good cure, but I have some Tequila that might speed up the healing too! Do you want me to bring it on Thursday? (ha ha).

See you tomorrow,
Mario

Mike/Mario,
What time do you plan on leaving on Sunday? I'd be interested in sharing a ride.

Hi Mike

Is the bus full? If not, I wouldn't mind sharing a ride - let me know - my phone # is 905-849-6931 or leave a message here .... and ... if you still have room where/when are you leaving?

Thanks

Audrey

Hey Guys _ I'm back from the Western provinces. Talk about trains, planes and automobiles. My flight from Winnipeg was 2.5 hrs late leaving Thursday night, then couldn't put down in Toronto due to freezing rain, diverted to Ottawa, had to take the bus back today. Anything to get home for the Chilly Half!

Hi Everyone,

Are there any plans to meet up in Burlington prior to the beginning of the race? Last year a few of us met outside the Travel Lodge (actually, on the grass between the parking lot and the sidewalk).

Take Care,

Kathy

Hi Team,

We have a 10 AM start and I would like to run 5k before, so the plan is to be parked and ready to go around 9:20, working backwards I have rides for 7 including me. Mario, Dave, Audrey, Jamie, so there is room for two more. I will start calling to arrange the pick-ups.

P.S. I am planning to run LSD pace.

Hi Team,
Home phone number 905-257-1038 or send me an e-mail to Michael_Perge@sympatico.ca with your address so I can work out the best pick-up route.

Hi Kathy:

We can meet outside of the Hotel. Joe will be there around 9:30, and we will be there as soon as we get back from the 5 KM run.

See you tomorrow.
