Looking forward to returning to one of my fav. places!! Have driven this route and from what I remember.....it will be a challenge....but a beautiful challenge at that. Since we're bringing cameras I will have an excuse to stop!
It's 80% full as of today (Jan 26)if anyone else is thinking of signing up.

It looks like it's going to be a really scenic run France, I hope you and Heather enjoy yourselves. Don't forget to buy some of those great photographs of you running up the hills!

What hills?.....they told me this was a flat run! :)

I went ot Youtube and found some Big Sur Mrarathon videos! The finishing line one is a little jumpy but get a load of the look on the guys face when he turns his camera around at the end.

Hi Heather and France:

I hope that you have a great race on Sunday. I will be thinking of you and will be sending good vibrations. You are well prepared and the hills at the North Sore made you ready for the small hills in Big Sur! Enjoy the scenery and look forward to hearing your stories from the race.

What numbers are your bibs?

Best regards,
Mario

France and Heather,

Have the most wonderful time in Big Sur! Take lots of pictures. I wish for you perfect weather, the wind at your back (a strong wind for those hills) and a safe trip. It will be a marathon for the memory books and I can't wait to hear about it.

France & Heather

I want to wish you both a wonderful time in Big Sur. I'm really quite jealous, the scenery looks amazing and you can run the marathon however you feel without worrying about pace.

Just go out and have a great time, taake your cameras and bring us back lots of photos.

Thank you for the well wishes! It should be a doozy of a run. I had root canal without any pain meds yesterday.....the most pain I've ever experienced..... so running with plantar fasciitis will be a breeze!!! After yesterday I can do anything!!!!!!

Root Canal?!? I don't recall that being on the "two weeks to go" checklist! Oh well, whatever works, right?

France & Heather, hope you have a great trip and a fabulous race.

Hi Heather and France:

I forgot to mention to print your pace bands in miles! Mentally it feels a lot easier when you only run 26.2 miles rather than 42.2 Km! After the first mile, one thinks, I only have 25 to go! At the half marathon you only have 13.1 Miles rather than 21.1 Km. I know it sounds crazy, but it helps to get you to the end!

Have fun and enjoy your weekend.

Best regards,
Mario
